If you woke up feeling Blessed...

If you woke up feeling Blessed give God an Amen!

The privilege of prayer is worthy of our gratefulness.

How awesome it is that we can take our needs, requests, and desires to our loving Savior!

What a contrast our God is compared to some of the false gods we see in the Bible. While our God wants to protect us from harm, other gods required or desired it. Molech was worshipped by the people sacrificing their own children. Our God wants to save our children! Baal worshippers harmed themselves to get his attention.

Our God’s commands and rules for life are to give us protection! Our God even went to the extent of offering Himself on a cross, so that the humanity that He loves could be redeemed.

Do we realize how blessed we really are?

The God we serve is not only approachable, but He is on our side, in our corner, and waiting to bless us with good things! Not material and luxury items, but the things that will never rust or fade. Peace and joy cannot be purchased with money. True love is not available at the local department store.

When our lives are surrendered to Jesus, we have the privilege of prayer!

We know that our Savior is not frivolous. He supplies our needs according to His riches! He also moves on behalf of our prayers and the needs we bring to Him that pertain to those we are praying for. All in all, He is our prayer-answering God who cares, hears, and answers our prayers.

What can we do for a Savior that owns it all and needs nothing?

How do we truly thank Him and show our appreciation for all He does for us?

We thank Him through our praise and worship. Worship is more of our act of adoration when we are expressing our hearts to Jesus. Those feelings are conveyed many times when we’re in the house of God, singing songs and enjoying His sweet presence.

Praise, on the other hand, is taking our adoration out to the world, showing them what a wonderful Savior we serve! Praise is not only our words but our actions! We are surrounded by people who lost with no hope. Not only is it our privilege to share what God has done in our lives, but it is also our responsibility!

As the saying goes, “Actions speak louder than words.”

In the case of the Christian, this is only true when our actions don’t correlate with our speech. True praise shows no contradictions in our actions and our words.

We cannot talk about the goodness of God and all that He has saved us from if we’ve never allowed Him to change us into a new creation. That would be like telling the world how much we love water, how great it is for us, all the benefits of it, and how we’re fully committed to it, while we have a can of soda pop in one hand, and an energy drink in the other.

Praising God for His goodness is truly praise when our actions agree. When He has saved us from a miry pit and has answered prayers for us and those we’ve prayed for, He is worthy of our praise. He is worthy of our committed lives!

Have we truly given our God praise lately?

Today is a great day to resume!
